Elizabeth Linares, French horn

Elizabeth Linares Montero is a Venezuelan horn player pursuing her Master’s Degree at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where she is a student of Andrew Bain. She began her studies in the “El Sistema” program and played in the Symphonic Youth Orchestra of Caracas. She gained more orchestral experience with the Symphonic Orchestra of Venezuelan Youth Simon Bolivar, Teresa Carreño Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland Pfalz, Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe and Los Angeles Philharmonic. 

 She has played in masterclasses for Marie Louise Neunecker, Stefan Dohr, Radek Baborak, and Edward Brown. She furthered her studies as a member of the Verbier Festival Orchestra and Lucerne Festival Orchestra Academy in Switzerland. She has played under the batons of Gustavo Dudamel, Sir Simon Rattle, Valery Gergiev and others. Ms. Linares earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Music Karlsruhe where she studied with Prof. Will Sanders.
